Stress How To Beat It! (click here) Newsletter March
2008
-
Believe it or not, stress does have
a purpose and small amounts of stress can even be
beneficial. However, if you face stressful situations often
or have extreme, longstanding or ongoing stress, your body
will use up all of its energy resources and you become
exhausted.
-
Many people comfort eat, especially
during times of stress. Reaching for those sugary/sweet
foods, chocolate or coffee may give you that instant ‘lift’.
But these foods are empty foods and only aggravate your
negative response to stress.
-
If you have a ‘short’ term stress
(i.e. lasting only a few days) (for example an exam,
interview or an emotional upset), try my ‘crisis management’
treatment outlined in this newsletter.

Stress Facing The Hungry Tiger? What is your stress
Pattern (click here) Wellness Review Feb 2008
-
What would you do if you faced a hungry
tiger or some other savage beast? Well, thousands of years
ago you may have had to deal with this form of stress. To
ensure your survival, you would have had to run fast, put up
an almighty fight or try to outsmart the hungry beast.
Today, although we don’t face hungry tigers trying to make a
meal of us, we do face other forms of stress.
-
Today the tiger is in the form of stressors
like our boss expecting more from us, relationship stress,
family stress and traffic jams, just to name a few. Many of
us are so used to feeling stressed, we sometimes don’t even
recognise how much stress is affecting our health.

Detox Program Rejuvenate your body (click here) Jan 2008
-
Christmas and New Year are a fabulous time
of year for catching up with family and friends and
hopefully finding some time to relax and rejuvenate the
spirit. Enjoying festive foods and drinks is part of the
season and adds to the atmosphere.
-
But now the time has come to rejuvenate the
body. One of the best ways to regenerate and rejuvenate
yourself is through a detoxification program.
-
Will you benefit from a Detoxification
program?
If you answer “Yes’ to
more than two of these questions below then a detox program
will benefit you.
·Do
you lead an incredibly busy life?
· Would
you like to feel more healthy and alive?
· Would
you like to look and feel younger?
· Would
you like to have clearer skin?
· Would
you like to have less bloating, body odour or flatulence?
· Do
you want improved concentration and focus?
· Did
you overindulge over Christmas and New Year?

Dec 2007
-
Is lack of sleep giving you bags under your
eyes? Are you so sleep-deprived that the only way you can
get through the morning is by drinking a triple espresso?
Not being able to sleep affects everyone at some point in
their life.
-
The benefits of using natural therapies for
sleep maintenance are that they are not addictive like some
medications and won’t leave you feeling groggy in the
morning. Even more importantly, natural medicines can help
address the underlying causes of poor sleep such as
nutritional deficiencies and stress.
How
Old Are You REALLY? (click here) Oct/Nov 2007 newsletter
-
We all know exactly how old we are in years and with the
celebration of each birthday comes a sobering reminder of
just how quickly time is ticking by. But how old is your
body really; are you as old (or as young) as you think you
are?
-
The bad news is that the wrong sort of diet and lifestyle
could mean you’re aging faster then you should be, without
even knowing it.
-
The good news is that once you discover what is making your
body old, it’s possible to reverse the process, slow aging
and make yourself young again. In the same way that you can
stack on the years, you can now also strip them off.
-
Mood and
Depression (click here) Wellness Review Oct 2007

-
Have you noticed
that lately, friends and family are avoiding you or walking
on egg shells around you?
The heart breaking
news is that, today, there are at least one
million people in
Australia that have been diagnosed with a
mood disorder. The
good news is that natural therapies may
provide some options
for you if you are struggling with low
moods.
